Aster-Anccalling

Reconstructing ancestral genomes supports the inference of new genomic chromosome karyotypes in Asteraceae and the reconstruction of ancient gene evolutionary histories. We provide detailed information for 29 AAGs, including GFF, PEP, and CDS files for each AAG, along with the number of inferred ancient genes located on ancient chromosomes. These AAGs collectively cover 463 ancient chromosomes and 404,036 ancient genes.
Query Ancestral Chromosomes

Ancestral Candidate Search

Search query sequences against selected ancestral chromosome databases and return all hits passing the selected thresholds.

  • 1. Query sequence
  • 2. Selected ancestors
  • 3. Filter hits
  • 4. Candidate genes

Ancestral Gene Tracing

Search only the bottom-layer extant species shown in the ancestral tree, keep the best matched gene for each query, then report the corresponding ancestral chromosome relationships when available.

  • 1. Query sequence
  • 2. Bottom-layer species
  • 3. Best matched gene
  • 4. Ancestral tracing

Ancestral Candidate Search

This mode returns all ancestral hits that meet the selected E-value, score, and identity thresholds.

Ancestral Gene Tracing

This mode searches only extant species that are currently linked to ancestral chromosome relationships, keeps the best matched gene for each query, and reports the relationships available in the system.
