Using the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana as a reference, 210 important gene family members within the Asteraceae family have been identified. Users can determine the gene family to which a sequence belongs by performing a BLAST match. Alternatively, by selecting a gene family of interest—such as MADS-box or HSF—the webpage will display all members of that gene family across all Asteraceae plants.
